The Hornpipe (Cornphíopa)

A stately, dotted-rhythm tune in 4/4, danced with intricate steps.

The hornpipe is played more slowly than a reel, with a characteristic dotted, swinging rhythm. It is a showcase for the intricate footwork of solo step dancers.
