There is no bus. There are three buses.

1. Tá mé ag fanacht leathuair an chloig. (I've been waiting half an hour.)

2. Ní thagann siad go deo. (They never come.)

3. Trí cinn le chéile! (Three of them together!)

4. Sin mar a bhíonn sé. (That's the way it is.)

Phrases worth stealing

• Tá mé ag fanacht leathuair an chloig. — I've been waiting half an hour. Irish uses the present where English uses “have been”.
• Ní thagann siad go deo. — They never come.
• Trí cinn le chéile! — Three of them together! “Cinn” counts things without naming them again.
• Sin mar a bhíonn sé. — That's the way it is. The national shrug.
