Phrases worth stealing

• Gabh mo leithscéal. — Excuse me. Literally “take my excuse”.
• An bhfuil arán agat? — Do you have bread? Irish has no verb “to have” — things are simply *at* you.
• Tá, cinnte. — Yes, certainly. You answer “tá”, not “yes”.
• Tá sé sin díolta amach. — That's sold out.
