Loop Head (Ceann Léime)

A dramatic headland and lighthouse at the mouth of the Shannon Estuary.

Loop Head reaches out where the Shannon meets the Atlantic, its lighthouse standing above sheer sea cliffs and a natural sea stack. It is one of the finest coastal viewpoints on the Wild Atlantic Way, and one of the least crowded.
